Entrepreneurship Discussion on Consumer Web Technologies

Date:Thursday, April 2, 6pm-8pm
Location:380 Soda

Startups at Berkeley (ST@B) and IEEE are co-hosting an 'Entrepreneurship Discussion on Consumer Web Technologies' on Thursday, April 2nd. There will be 5-10 undergraduate and graduate engineering students (members of either ST@B or IEEE) who have a strong interest in technology and entrepreneurship to discuss Web technologies and business models and understand what it takes to take a technology to market, with around 4-5 entrepreneurs, industry experts, angel investors, and VC's.

The format of the event is a discussion on a list of pre-set topics - we have some general discussion topics (examples - what are the hottest Web technologies, business models, how to take a technology to market, personal experiences) but they will be pre-set by the attendees of the event through a wiki.

If you'd like to participate, please email Sushi (sushant .at. berkeley .dot. edu) with a brief bio of yourself (spots are limited). Also feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions. Please note that the organizers of the event reserve the right to pre-select the students depending on their entrepreneurship experience and/or interest and expertise in web technologies.

We are having this event as a pilot event, and we are considering having a regular discussion on different topics (biotechnology, renewable energy, etc.). If you cannot make it this time, look out for future events. Also, we'll be posting the conclusions and notes from the discussion.
